Time has not been kind to the architectural achievements of Robert Hooke; for a list of and commentary on his work go to the List of the architectural works.

The standard collected work on Hooke's architecture remains Margaret Isabel Batten, Walpole Society (London) 25, 83-113 (1936-7). Her article is reproduced in its entirety together with the plates, but has been split for convenience. The page references are to the original article.

  • Willen Church - the church that Robert Hooke built for Dr Richard Busby, Head Master of Westminster School for 55 years. Busby paid for the building.
  • Ragley Hall, Warwickshire. This building has been modified since Hooke originally designed it.
